OK, maybe things were different when I was a kid. Girls just had birthday parties. But Darcy and Hannah "kicked it up a notch" by having a "Spa" party at our house with 12 of Hannah's friends.
It took a lot of discount shopping, organization and help from neighborhood "Mom" friends Vickie Dhunjishaw, Julie Hagen, Andy Taylor and others. Hannah divided the girls up into four groups of three.
There were four stations, Hair, Nails, Make-up and Waiting area. The girls drank Sparkling Soda while they waited.
The girls loved it all, maybe as much as the Moms did playing with the girl's hair. All the girls wanted their hair put up in curls, of course, except for Hannah. At least Hannah overcame her "concern" about turning ten. She originally didn't like
having two digits in her age so we were going to have to have her turn Roman numeral "X". Hannah was smiling for two days afterwards, I'm not kidding. Darcy gave Hannah a birthday she will never forget. Hannah is so responsible and grown-up. But she is still my little girl.

Hannah, This will be a birthday that you will always remember. Really sounds like you and your friends had a great and wonderful time.
